I help students ages 8-18 with:
reading, writing, math, science, and geography · social/emotional skills · study habits
By integrating art forms (theater, dance, drawing, poetry and more!) into a learning session, students creatively connect to the importance of reading and writing, solving mathematical problems, experimenting with science theories, and discovering world cultures. Students also learn how to treat others with care and respect, present themselves with confidence to a group, and deepen their artistry as performers. Integrating the arts into all modes of learning creates life long learners and imaginative problem solvers. My role as an educator and artist is to support the art of learning.
During my 14+ years of teaching, I've worked with a wide variety of age groups. My approach shifts depending on the age of your child and his or her specific goals and needs.
Arts-integrated education is especially powerful for students with special learning needs. I have extensive experience supporting students with learning and behavioral challenges. I work one-on-one with students to tailor activities exactly to the way they learn best.
I tutor in a dedicated studio space in Travis Heights where we have art supplies at the ready and plenty of space to move.
